Lana Lane's Storybook: Tales from Europe and Japan tells the story of Lane Lane (so far)... Many album title tracks were included on this DVD: Love Is an Illusion, Queen of the Ocean, Secrets of Astrology and Project Shangri-La, for example, are all included. There's at least one song from every Lana Lane album, so one could consider this record as the best of Lana Lane.

The choice of songs is good and reflects the career of Lana Lane quite well... Those who haven't earlier listened to Lana Lane should know that Lana Lane is symphonic and melodic hard rock with some progressive elements and occasional metal parts. The live recordings were good most of the time... There was a short annoying feedback coming from the mic in the end of 'Avalon', but nothing serious.

Unfortunately the production of this DVD is inconsistent... The quality of video varies from low (blurry) to adequate and occasionally good. It's a shame, because this DVD is otherwise very good. The sounds are quite good (clean and spacious without lacking atmosphere), but on some concerts they weren't as good as on others (although, for the most part they were good). The main reason why the productional quality varies is the location. The concerts have been recorded with different equipment and on some concerts the video cameras and microphones weren't as good as they should have been.

This DVD contains live footage for 1 hour and 54 minutes, interviews for 44 minutes 41 seconds... You can watch the concerts and interviews separately or by turns. In addition there's Candid Montage (behind-the-scenes) running for 16 minutes 30 seconds... So there's enough material for everyone to see.
