Ayreon's single 'Loser' contains nothing straight from the new Human Equation album... The song 'Loser' is based on the track 'Day Sixteen: Loser' on 'The Human Equation' and it's a little bit different. Actually it's better version, at least in my view.

The second song, How You Gonna See Me Now, is an Alice Cooper cover with Mike Baker on vocals... Mike Baker's performance is good and makes me anticipate the forthcoming Shadow Gallery album more and more.

Third track is acoustic version of 'Into the Black Hole' recorded live at 'Stairway to Heaven' Utrecht, April 18, 2004... The fourt song, Castle Hall, is as well acoustic version. Thus sensitive and beautiful side of Irene Jansen's singing can be heard on this album. Earlier Lucassen has used Irene Jansen mostly for her powersinging skills, but on 'The Human Equation' he noticed that Jansen has also other qualities to her singing.

Production on this album is great (as well as on 'The Human Equation'). I recommend this album to fans of Ayreon and those who like slower, beautiful acoustic songs. I noticed that this CD has a code which allows you to gain access to a hidden page with special downloads not available anywhere else... This offer should have expired 09.08.2004, but it was still working (according to ayreon.com it will work until 01.09.2004).
