The Swedish melodic metal group Prey have come up with a second album called "Knights of the Revolution". Music on this record is a blend of hard rock and power metal with strong focus on catchiness and driving melodies. However, none of the songs are true gems as they lack originality and just sound too safe and predictable. There are some good ideas here and there but in the long run the record becomes a tad boring due to its monotonous songs. However, as background music it's quite decent since there aren't many details stealing your attention.

Knights of the Revolution has been produced rather well by Anders "Theo" Theander, who is best known for his work with Majestic, Pain of Salvation and Last Tribe. The mix is balanced and there's not much to complain about the sounds. One annoyance, however, is found on Into the Fire, where the pitch correction on vocals sounds fairly unmusical and harsh at 1:33 with the word "up". Despite minor production glitches such as this, the album remains quite enjoyable. If you're a fan of 80s hard rock, you most likely might get a kick out of Prey's Knights of the Revolution if you're able to look past its imperfections.
