Temporal Chaos Project (TCP) takes you for quite an adventurous listening journey on their debut "The Way". Together with a variety of guests, the trio have crafted themselves unique sound exploring the depths of art and progressive rock (bringing in mind early David Bowie, Genesis, King crimson, and Phideaux among others). The course of the album is largely set to meaningful lyrics and creative songwriting that culminates in excellent hooklines (of which perhaps the most memorable one is heard on Mankind). The Way is well-produced album with a balanced mix and overall atmosphere suiting the album's tone. At times the group resorts to a tad too adventurous gimmickry sections within their songs, where the flow of the song is hurt (for example, at the end of She). Regardless, at times these provide a nice contrast and encourage the listener to appreciate other parts of the track more. All in all, TCP's debut effort is pleasantly pensive record, which I would warmly recommend to any fans of art rock. Let it be known, their website also serves as a resource for those who are interested more about the band's research regarding our world and those who have significant influence over it.
