Ever since the release of A Crow Left of the Murder, the fans of Incubus have been waiting for a new album to emerge. Finally the wait is over, as Incubus releases their sixth album Light Grenades. On some level I must admit that this record doesn't quite live up to my expectations. For example, some lyrics aren't as good as I would have wished to hear. On the other hand, the song material is pretty good throughout the record with few exceptions... at times there are some sections that aren't quite to my liking, but that has been always the case with Incubus' albums.

The production on this album is rather good, although some sounds are compressed a bit too much. All in all, Incubus' new release Light Grenades goes between a good and somewhat mediocre album with its highs and lows. Unfortunately, the title track Light Grenades belongs to the latter category, and really sticks out (though unfavourably).
