Impaled Nazarene is one of those bands, from which you know what to expect... there's never anything new under the sun. This is the case with Pro Patria Finlandia, which is an unimaginative grindcore record with few fortuitous riffs here and there. As a whole, this album is somewhat insipid. Over and above, this is rather average metal production that leaves the more demanding listeners out in the cold. The sounds are tight, but in my view the squashed master is too tiring for ears in the long run. Regardless, fans of the group will most likely find this release their money's worth.
