Lanfear is quite a recent acquaintance to me... but I must admit, it isn't that bad... Actually I like some songs quite much. Although the singer's voice is in some places too high, it doesn't annoy too much. Eventually, you'll get used to it.

Some of TAE's songs aren't so good, but on the contrary there are also some really good songs... For example the 'Fortune Lies Within' is a great song... its title reminds me of Dream Theater, by the way. Also 'Traces of Infinity' is good among few others...

The Art Effect is a good 'basic' progmetal album... nothing more, but nothing less. Length is almost 49 minutes, which is maybe a little bit too short for a progmetal album.
