Dark Age Digital is the debut EP from Finnish metal group Machina. Already from the beginning of the record, it becomes clear that Machina has devoted themselves to composing catchy melodies. Actually the material throughout the whole record is fairly enjoyable too. Unfortunately there's one "but"... the weakest link in Machina is the vocalist. The singer's delivery lacks both power and character, which pretty much ruins this record for me. With a better vocalist, I'd see better changes at success for this group.

Dark Age Digital was recorded, mixed and mastered at Tico-Tico Studio by Ahti Kortelainen. The sounds are quite good - fully what one can expect from Kortelainen. However, I've never been too big fan of that plastic-like bass drum sound Kortelainen is so well known from.
