Coheed and Cambria is quite intriguing group, since their music is fairly peculiar - they really have a style of their own. On their third studio album "Good Apollo I'm Burning Star IV | Volume One: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness" they explore multifaceted musical fields with basis on laid-back progressive rock. The songs have a strong emotional charge and are quite lyrical. Claudio Sanchez's (the vocalist) transparent voice definitely plays an important role in making the music as emotional as it is. As a whole, Coheed and Cambria's latest record offers a refreshingly original musical journey, which seems to endure even the torrid listening régime consisting of several ensuing plays. The glamour of the material just doesn't wear off, instead one finds something new with every listen. "Good Apollo I'm Burning Star IV | Volume One: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness" is a remarkable concept album, which definitely belongs to every sophisticated progrock listener's record collection. The use of dynamics and variety of the material makes this simply a must-have record. This album was exorcised at Applehead Studios in Woodstock, NY between February and June, 2005. All the songs were mixed at Soundtrack Studios, NYC and the mastering took place at Bernie Grundman Mastering. Overall, the sounds are really good, and there's not much to complain about anything. So I guess now would be the time to place your order for this record... Visit Artist's Website - MAGE (April 25th, 2006) « back
