Formed in the late 2000, Angel Crew is one brutal hardcore band. I actually haven't heard the group's debut album, which was released back in 2001. Consisting of members from Arkangel, Backfire!, Deviate and Length Of Time, we're dealing with one of those "super groups" here. The band blends old-school elements with new school hate metalcore, and they pull it off rather well. In addition, the group has two vocalist, which definitely flavours the music delightfully. Both ordinary hardcore shouts and more melodic vocal lines can be heard, latter of which introduce dynamics to the mix.

The song material on "One Life, One Sentence" is on average fairly good. Strong beats and riffs are occasionally accompanied by brief lead sections, all of which have been performed tightly. By the way, the musicianship on this record is of high level regarding others' contributions as well. Lyrically Angel Crew touches some controversial subjects, which deal with evereday life.

The production on this album is rather good. Although the sounds are quite dry, they suit the genre exceptionally well. All in all, Angel Crew's new album is quite good hardcore record. It's definitely worth checking out if you like the brutal end of hardcore and metalcore music, and you happen to have extra adrenaline to spare.
