The origins of Brave New World date back to 1994 when the group was called Passion Street and the release of their debut album "Million Miles Away" took place. However, throughout the years the band's line-up changed and in the end only one original member was left... namely Rick Cartey. So I guess, Monsters can be held as the debut album of Brave New World, although one could say it's actually their second record.
The music of Brave New World is a blend of melodic rock and hard rock. Their main focus still remains on hooks and melodies, although the material is somewhat heavier than that of Passion Street. Both musically and production-wise this album has been carried out well. In case you fancy melodic rock, you'd better give Brave New World a listen. Although the album isn't mindblowingly great, it has its moments.
