Nightscape is a relatively new power metal group that got formed in 2001. Already with their first demo, the band signed a record-deal with Lion Music. Needless to say, "Symphony of the Night" is their debut album. This album consists of nine well-executed power metal songs that are both melodic and full of energy. The band shares some similarity to Freedom Call, as the group's singer Simon Åkesson has quite high-pitched voice and the music focuses on melodies (but is also rather speedy at times). Partially there are even some fairly innovative ideas scattered on this album. Especially the refrains and melodies deserve mention. Production-wise this record belongs to the upper middle class... the sounds are quite good, and the recordings are clean. In case you're into speedy power metal in the vein of Freedom Call, Stratovarius, Edguy and the like, then you might want to give these young Swedes a listen.
