Blanc Faces is a new AOR/melodic rock group consisting of brothers La Blanc along with few talented musicians. For example, Kyle Woodring (Dennis DeYoung/Styx, Survivor, John Mellencamp) plays drums on this record. Despite this being the debut album of Blanc Faces, both Robbie and Brian La Blanc have previous experience of performing music either live or in the studio (so they aren't tenderfeet in the field of music).

Since Pink Cream 69 bassist Dennis Ward handled the mixing and mastering of this record, there isn't much to groan about regarding the production. The recordings are clean without losing the atmosphere, and the sounds are rather lucid.

What Blanc Faces has to offer musically is simply well-performed melodic rock with a strong emphasis on atmospheric harmonies and graceful vocal lines. However, on the negative side, all the songs on this album aren't that memorable. Overall, Blanc Faces is definitely a band to give a listen to in case one listens to AOR & melodic rock.
