Jukka Tolonen Band is back, but not with a new record... instead, they've decided to re-release one of their albums in CD-format with an additional bonus track. The bonus track is called "Ide & Lärdomshistorien/Lilla Lule Älv" and features the original bass player Ilkka Hanski (it's an early recording that dates back to 1977). Musically JTB is a well-performed jazz record, which is rather steady in terms of quality. All the songs suffice, but none really manages to impress me wholeheartedly.

This record has been produced rather well (especially when one takes into account the fact that this album was originally released in the late seventies). The sounds are apt and relatively warm. Nonetheless, some background distortion occurred few times (for example, on "Funky Nightmare"). In addition, the bonus track contains background hiss in the beginning, but other than that the recordings are rather clean. If jazz & fusion takes yours fancy, you might want to give JTB a spin...
