Warmen have returned with their third album, and this time they are accompanied by some well-known Finnish vocalists (as before). Namely Timo Kotipelto (Stratovarius), Marko Vaara (Tunnel Vision), Alexi Laiho (Children of Bodom) and Jonna Kosonen (ex-Nylon Beat) can be heard on this album. Regardless, there are two instrumental songs ("Accept the Fact" and "Roppongi Rumble") on this record as well. Having heard all of Warmen's albums, I've got to admit the band hasn't progressed much since their formation. Their songs just are a bit too middling... their songwriting skills are ho hum, but at times there are also better sections. Unfortunately, the vocalists chosen for this album aren't too great... sure there are a lot of fans of Kotipelto, but his vocal lines seem to lack feeling (same goes for others as well). On top of all, the songs Kotipelto sings on are amongst the weakest on this record. Sadly, Jonna Kosonen's performance ranks highest on this album, although she used to be known from her nasal voice (fortunately, her singing is lower on this album). Alexi Laiho, on the other hand, isn't too good at singing, and thus he performs on "Somebody's Watching Me", which is a Rockwell cover. Accept the Fact was recorded at Janne Wirman's own studio and mixed at Finnvox by Mikko Karmila. Actually the sounds are rather apt, but there's still room for improvement (that's for sure). Overall, Warmen have come up with rather run-of-the-mill record... some fans may like it, but I recommend digging deeper into the world of music.
