Breed the Pain is the third album of somewhat successful metalcore band 8 Foot Sativa. The band hails from New Zealand, where they've already gained some success. The music on 'Breed the Pain' is a blend of death metal and metalcore... the riffs are nicely varied, and thus listening this album doesn't become stultifying. Overall, the material on this album is of rather steady quality. However, I would have wished for more diversity regarding songs and their structures.

Production-wise this album has some aspects that need some work. The sounds are rather fitting, but the background distortion coming from guitar every now and then is a bit bothering. In addition, few clips occur. Other than that the sounds are good. There's not much to complain about mastering either, which was handled by Peter In De Betou at Tailor Maid, Stockholm, Sweden.

Overall, 'Breed the Pain' is quite good metalcore/death metal album. Although it still has room for improvement in many fields, it provides quite a nice listening experience as such.
