Evil Is Forever is the second album from the Swedish hard rockers Astral Doors. Their music is greatly influenced by the old classic hard rock bands (Rainbow, Deep Purple and the like). However, they have blended those elements of hard rock with metal. The result is Astral Doors' own brand of refreshing modern hard rock.

Production on 'Evil Is Forever' was taken care by the same "line-up" as on the previous Astral Doors album — Peter Tägtgren handled the mixing at his Abyss Studio and Vince Sorg took care of the mastering at Principal studio. The sounds are apposite, but the levels should have been just a bit lower (there's a clip on 'Fear in Their Eyes' at 3:20). Otherwise mastering has been done well.

Compared to their debut album, the material on 'Evil Is Forever' is more atmospheric. It contains both harder and softer sides of hard rock, so the outcome is quite balanced album. All the songs are rather good, thus making the album steady in terms of quality. In case you liked the previous Astral Doors album, you should definitely check out 'Evil Is Forever'.
